[Makes sense, but she's not sure why Raphael's telling her. She can feel something off about the angel, but she's sure not poking at her to figure out what; she doesn't want to get herself burned up by looking the wrong way.]
[Okay, NOW she puts things together, and stops walking.]
Wait, so you need to drink demon blood too?
[Sounds like a good time to call daddy, because warning bells are going off loud and clear. But she also doesn't want to call Lucifer in for something she might be able to deal with; he's not at her beck and call or anything.]
[She's weighing pros and cons quickly, and this answer is important. If it doesn't mean killing her and draining her blood, then she'll probably just agree for now. She's not sure arguing with an archangel is a great idea.]
[Ugh. This entire thing is distasteful, not to mention insulting; she's supposed to the one manipulating other people using her blood, not just getting used a bank. But finally, she settles back into a 'demon don't care' stance, and nods.]
Hey, I didn't say you were a fat kid at an all-you-can-eat.
[Jokes. Jokes are good when an archangel wants you to be their personal protein shake. She starts following after Raphael again, trying to hide her hesitancy.]
[Here another person would give a noncommittal mmm, but she stays awkwardly silent until she steers them into the first empty building they come across.]
[Once they're inside, the door closes behind them of its own volition. Raphael faces Ruby, a knife appearing in her hand. Her manner is frustratingly calm and contemplative, almost analytical as she looks the demon over.]
There are two different approaches.
We can get this over quickly with more discomfort, or more typically choose a vein in your arm or wrist. That would keep us here longer than you're willing to stay.
[Let's get this the hell over with. Time to vampire up, kiddo.]
I would guess your willingess will run out quickly. I have no more desire to drag this out than you do.
Roll up your sleeve.
[Part of a steel beam rips out of the wall and twists into a goblet wine glass thing. It's not very big at all, more like the size of a champagne flute.]
[She doesn't bother arguing, and pulls off her jacket. Her shirt underneath is sleeveless, which makes this a lot more simple and having to roll anything up.
She watches as Raphael creates the glass and it's smaller than expected, which is a relief.]
[Once Ruby's arm is out, the glass obligingly floats in midair and presses against the inside of her elbow. Raphael takes the demon's elbow in a light but firm grip and makes a small knife-cut deep into a vein. She immediately leans Ruby's arm a little, muttering.]
Clench your fist.
[She keeps the vein from closing, the blood from clotting, and the blood flowing as efficiently as if they're at a blood drive, not a dirty abandoned grocery store in an apocalyptic wasteland.
As such, it doesn't take long at all for the glass to fill.]
[She does as she's told, and this really isn't quite as bad as she's expecting. She'd given Sam about the same amount of blood before, so as much as it pisses her off that she's being used instead of the other way around, it isn't something to put up a lot of resistance against at the moment.
When the glass fills up, she looks up at Raphael.]
